Roger Mehta

Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, stress or panic attacks? Difficult past and
present relationships affect our mental health. The demands and expectations of family and work can leave us feeling mentally & emotionally exhausted.

Roger Mehta is a highly qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with
APCP (Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland). For over 20 years, Roger has worked with teenagers, adults, and families struggling with substance use disorders (SUDs) and underlying mental health conditions also known as dual diagnosis.

Having also faced these challenges within his own family, these experiences have left him a deeply compassionate and committed therapist in helping his clients restore balance and harmony with their own personal challenges.

Through an integrative and holistic approach that includes CBT, Roger offers a safe, non- judgmental space that allows his clients to process grief, loss, trauma or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). It is a space where Roger and his clients work together to identify and understand the thought and behaviour patterns that keep individuals from reaching their full potential and feeling their best.

For those struggling with drug or alcohol difficulties, Roger is also the founder, director, and CEO of The Harmony Workshops, an innovative and contemporary music-based, dual diagnosis programme. The programme has been widely delivered across the country since 2009, to post-primary schools, youth settings, residential drug rehabilitation centres, and on the medical unit of Mountjoy Prison in Dublin. The programme was shortlisted for the Social Entrepreneur of Ireland awards in 2013 and is endorsed by the HSE.

He holds a B.A. degree in Counselling & Addiction Studies (2018) and a B.A. degree (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy (2019) from ICHAS Limerick. He completed his training as a counsellor and psychotherapist at Spafield Family Resource Centre, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, working with both adolescents and adults, leading to him becoming the centre’s child and family support worker for a time.
